How can you participate in stopping Graffiti in Las Vegas?

  • Call Graffiti Hotline to report graffiti @ 702-455-4509
  • Call the Police Department if you see the perpetrator in the act of defacing other peoples property

How can a business prevent graffiti?

  • If you see graffiti vandalism in progress… Call 911. Graffiti is a crime.
  • Make every effort to keep the appearance of a facility clean and neat.
  • An exterior appearance that suggests apathy and neglect attracts vandals.
  • Littered parking lots broken fences, overgrown landscaping and poor lighting all send a message to vandals that business owners do not care about the business.
    Rapid removal
  • Rapid removal of graffiti is the best way for businesses and commercial property owners to protect the image of their street and preserve customer’s sense of security.
  • Studies show that removal within 24 to 48 hours results in a nearly zero rate of reoccurrence.

What should a business do if it’s hit with graffiti?

  • REPORT. Contact the police to report graffiti vandalism using a non emergency number.
    Call 311; Make sure police complete an incident report, a common requirement of the insurance companies

REMEMBER GRAFFITI IS A CRIME!

IDENTIFY. Work with local authorities to identify if the graffiti is being done by gangs or taggers.

DOCUMENT. Take a picture of the graffiti before it is removed. Photographs will assist law enforcement in their investigation.

REMOVE. Remove graffiti promptly and completely.
